Our Story
Some people say they lost a part of themselves when they became parents. For me, having children brought back a part of myself I’d missed.
Before I became a mum, and before my career as a lawyer, I loved to read, imagine, draw, paint and create. Then life got busy, and somewhere along the way, I stopped making time for those things.
Then I became a mum and suddenly I was thrown into a world of creativity - stories, arts and crafts and whatever imaginary world the little ones had dreamed up that day.
When we moved overseas, we started travelling a lot. Between flights, long waits and meals out, I was always looking for something to keep them happily busy without reaching for a screen.
That’s when we discovered busy books. They loved exploring the pages, trying the activities and making up their own games. Those books came everywhere with us.
Over time, I started having ideas of my own. I wanted books that were beautiful, well made and easy to take anywhere, with activities that were educational and fun - to ignite their imaginations.
So I started designing them myself. And one by one, those pages became Wondertivity.
The collection has grown since then, but the ideas still come from life with children: what interests them, what they’re learning and what inspires them to play.
They’re handmade using carefully chosen materials and checked for quality. I want them to last through years of play and, wherever possible, be passed down. When something becomes a favourite, you want it to hold up.
Wondertivity began with my own children, and it means so much that it’s now part of other children’s lives too.
I hope it becomes one of those favourites you pack for a trip, pull out on a quiet afternoon and keep for the next little one.
